Redruth Veterinary Surgery practising excellence in veterinary medicine.

Welcome to Redruth Veterinary Surgery, a private practice proudly owned and run by me, Sarah Sheldon a registered veterinary nurse. I moved to Cornwall in 2004 where I jointly owned and ran a veterinary practice in Hayle. In 2012 I decided to take on the challenge of owning my own surgery and purchased Jennifer Williamson’s well established practice on North Street, Redruth which I have called Redruth Veterinary Surgery.

My two children Melissa and Myles love popping into the surgery when they are not busy at school and my supportive fiancé Chris can often be seen around the surgery, normally doing a bit of DIY.

Pets are a massive part of our lives and we have a Fox Red Labrador called Shelby, who is often happily camped out in the office at the surgery.

We will journey with you through all stages of your pets life, and we are here to respond to the worrying times when your pet is ill or you have an emergency.

Whether it’s a planned annual health check or an emergency you will not be rushed, we are here to offer you our time, care and experience.

The team at Redruth Veterinary Surgery are experienced, forward thinking and dedicated. We are a registered training practice for veterinary nurses and our standards are kept extremely high and up to date.

Care is at the heart of everything we do, we love to build relationships with our clients and see ourselves very much as part of the local community.

Our reviews tell the personal experience of an owner who has trusted us with the care of their pet, something we never take for granted. Read our reviews below.

What our owners have to say...

I haven’t been with the practice long but so far they have been fab! Gave my bunney the new strain virus vaccine, have been so helpful & friendly (even via facebook ) which for me is a great help as an anxiety sufferer. Can’t fault the staff in any way! Big thanks to Claire & Tracey (also Rhiannon for the vaccine) 🙂

The staff are so fantastic!! Lucy helped get our cat better, and he’s not the easiest patient by any means. Everyone is so helpful and friendly there – Great place!
